How to Create Effortless Loose Curls

And it only takes 10-15 minutes!

________

You read right ladies. I always thought that women with beautifully curled hair must've been committed to spending a ridiculous amount of time on it each and every day (#respect), but as I've discovered, it doesn't actually have to take that long. In just 10-15 minutes, I can transform my long and thick head of hair with effortless loose curls, and it lasts me until my next wash. I'll even admit to liking it that little bit more after I've slept on it.

So, without further ado, here is my step-by-step tutorial on how to create the look.

Wearing Lola vs Harper striped dress
________

YOU WILL NEED:

1. Hairbrush
2. Toni & Guy 3D Volumiser
3. Slimline hair straightener
________

STEPS TO CREATE THE LOOK:

STEP ONE:

After blow drying and prepping hair with Toni & Guy Prep Heat Protection Mist, I make sure to smooth out any knots with my hairbrush.

STEP TWO:

You can apply the Toni & Guy 3D Volumiser to wet hair, but for this look I'm spraying it only onto my dry roots, which is going to add volume, but will keep my locks smooth as well.

STEP THREE:

I then use my fingers to rub the 3D Volumiser through my roots, making sure to spread it as even as possible.

STEP FOUR:

Using my slimline hair straightener, I take a piece of hair and straighten from the roots and slowly twist it away from the head when I get roughly in-line with the ears. When you've made a half turn, pull the straightener all the way to the ends, using an out and down motion, leaving a centimetre or two at the end.

It may not feel easy to begin with, but once you've got the technique down, it's like riding a bike and will take you very little time.

STEP FIVE:

Once you've finished curling your whole head, use your fingers and a hairbrush to separate the curls. And if you find that your hair doesn't hold curls as much as you'd like, spray a little Toni & Guy Glamour Firm Hold Hairspray throughout.
