The New and the Old, The Good and the Bad
So, today has been an absolute disaster.
________
On top of that, the installer has come today only to find that their measurements are wrong, meaning we now have a series of lovely holes in our freshly painted walls. But wait, there's more! They decided it would also be a great idea to have our ugly block out curtain at the front in the interior, not the beautiful sheer (does that make sense?), which means the actual measurements for the curtains are also incorrect. Hello another 6+ weeks waiting for new curtains to be made!
Can you tell I'm frustrated? I've actually been laughing about it to Brad and the installer. You wouldn't believe how much has gone wrong during this building process, despite the fact that we're going for more premium finishes in this house. Honestly, it's really taught me to take things on the chin, and that there's no point stressing about it too much because, hey, there's nothing you can do. At the end of the day, when everything is completed, we won't even think about the things that went wrong, just how much we love our new home.
Onto the good stuff. Today I'm wearing a few old faithfuls and some new wardrobe additions. The weather is a bit all over the place today, with sunshine then clouds then rain and back again, so I thought I'd get out my midriff before the thick of winter really sets in with this amazing high neck, cropped long sleeve jumper by Wish, and a pair of high-waisted skinny jeans. I also threw my new favourite coatigan over the top and jumped in the puddles (JK!) my go-to Tibi boots.
And now I'm off to park myself in front of the TV and schedule my whole weekend - it's going to be a busy one!
