The Body Shop Nails That Cool Summer Feeling

Sorbet for the skin?
________

Sorbet is usually reserved to describe a cold snack on a hot summer day or a refreshing palette cleanser between dishes at a fancy-schmancy restaurant, not beauty products. So, when The Body Shop begun naming products sorbet this and sorbet that, I was both confused and intrigued. It was only until I got my sticky paws on a couple of them (sadly not the very popular Virgin Mojito Body Sorbet - how good does that sound right about now?) that I finally understood the sorbet reference.

After applying The Body Shop Moringa Body Sorbet, a delightful scented hydrating gel, it gives my skin an unbelievable cool feeling, like the temperature of my body has just dropped despite the heat outside. While the refreshing feeling only lasts for a couple of minutes, it deeply moisturises my skin all day. The only qualm I have is that is takes a little longer to absorb that some of my other body moisturisers and has a slight sticky feeling, but I personally think it is well worth it for the cooling sensation, beautiful scent and glowing, hydrated skin.

Another summer time winner is The Body Shop Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet, which has a matte finish and makes a great primer when the going gets hot (or if you tend to have oily skin). My skin is typically on the dry side, but it also works a treat for me as it is, again, super hydrating and packed with antioxidants. Unlike the  Moringa Body Sorbet, it sinks in instantly, and feels smooth and velvety on my skin.

Now, to smother my body in sorbet before getting ready to head out later tonight for some Christmas festivities! Happy weekend everyone!
