The Catch-Up: Flying to Sydney with Clinique

The weekly catch-up.
________

Another week, another weekly catch-up.  As we do every weekend, not only do I want to talk to you about the highlights of my week, but I also want to know about yours! Did you go somewhere new? Finish reading a book? Or hung out with friends? No matter what it is, I'd love to know! After all, Lion in the Wild is all about conversation, getting to know each other and discovering new things.

1. A crazy yet quiet week. Crazy because I went to Sydney. Quiet because I haven't been blogging everyday. Yep, not the usual week in the life of, well, me. Thus, this is going to be a lengthy Catch-Up. I have loads and loads of content to share with you next week and next month and throughout the next year though (funny that, eh?), so don't think this will be a habit of ours my online-loves! And, as always if there's something you want to see here, mention it here, there and wherever I might see it.

2. Sydney with Clinique. I was sent my itinerary on Monday and then, come Wednesday morning, I was high up in the sky travelling a familiar route (sitting on the right side, window seat, of course - you can't beat the Harbour view on the way in). After checking-in to my hotel and enjoying ramen with a few fine Sydney-siders (you know who you are), I settled into bed with Brad on loud speaker until my heavy lids gave way to themselves.

When my alarm went off at the extraordinary hour of 6:00AM (that's 3:00AM Perth time, FYI), I jumped into my activewear, swiped on my Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream, obviously, and walked my butt up to InYoga Studio. We were met there by the very fabulous team from Clinique and Nicole Walsh, where we succeeded in a feel-good session of yoga and patted ourselves on the back for 'Pep-Start-ing' our day right (see what I did there?). We even indulged in a delicious gluten-free brekky by Angie Cowen - who knew healthy could be so damn yum!? A couple of hours later and I had my carry-on packed into the overhead compartment, about to take off on yet another crazy adventure  back to the dry heat of Perth (aka. home).

3. A graduation. And so the story continues. After landing, a gentleman fetching my luggage (the small acts of kindness are the very best) and rushing to the taxi rank, I headed for my other home at Mum and Dad's only to get ready again for my mum's university graduation ceremony. To say I am proud of her would be an understatement, not just when she walked across the stage to accept her Degree, but throughout these past years that have been challenging in the very least. To see her fight for her life in my first and second years at the same university and come through to achieve her dreams not too long afterwards is beyond inspiring. I'm so honoured to be your daughter, Mum (but you already knew that)!

4.  Legs day doesn't have anything on this . Sitting, laughing and don't even get me started on sneezing; they all hurt after abs day. That's right, I'm still going strong on my exercising resolution and I'm definitely feel the benefits already (not just the hurt, haha). It feels amazing to be up and moving almost every morning, after all, you never regret a workout, not even when you're aching for days afterwards. Who am I?!

5. The eyeshadow palette you need! Move over Urban Decay, there's a new eyeshadow palette in town and it's going to be damn popular, if you ask me. I'm creating a video this coming week to showcase it too, so make sure you keep an eye out for that one very soon. Yep, I'm fan-girling big time over here.

Don't forget, I'd absolutely love to know about your week, so make sure you join the conversation below. For now though, I'm off to my brother's 30th birthday! That kid got old (JK!).
