The Catch-Up: Easter and a Birthday

Our weekly conversation.
________

Another week, another weekly catch-up.  As we do every weekend, not only do I want to talk to you about the highlights of my week, but I also want to know about yours! Have you travelled somewhere? Celebrated something exciting? Or tried a new beauty product? No matter what it is, I'd love to know! After all, Lion in the Wild is all about conversation, getting to know each other and discovering new things.

The Easter bunny is coming! I love chocolate, which means I love Easter. It is probably my favourite holiday just for the fact that consuming chocolate at 7:00AM isn't frowned upon, not that that would stop me (let's be honest). I've been so organised this year too, having finished all my Easter egg shopping on Monday, so I'm excited to see our families on Sunday and spoil them with bucket loads of chocolate. What can I say? This is a holiday I can get into.

Happy birthday, handsome. It was Brad's birthday on Monday, and while we both obviously had work, I tried to make it as special as possible. We don't really buy each other gifts anymore in favour of travel and furniture throughout the year, but it's still nice to make the day as exciting as possible (although that 60" Samsung didn't appear from nowhere - heh-heh-heh). There's not much more Brad loves than ice-cream and lollies, so I created our very own mini ice-cream buffet with an assortment of deliciously sweet toppings. Oh, the things I do!

Getting Superdry. For a non-fitness blogger, I have a growing collection of workout wear that is slowly, but surely, spreading into a second drawer. This week I got a fresh delivery from the new Superdry Sport collection and I am in-love! I got a few new bits and pieces for the cooler weather that is finally approaching, including this über cool hoodie. I can't wait to show you these pieces, so if you have any non-fitness blogger content requests, be sure to give me a shout.

A very pore clean out.  Heh-heh-heh. See what I did there? There's a new mask in town and it's pretty damn amazing. I spent an afternoon relaxing with a book, a mug of tea and a slick layer of grey muck on my face. It wasn't long before I wiped away the mask to find my pores completely free of impurities and my skin sparkly clean. And don't worry, come Monday you'll know all about it too.

Thank you for the suggestions! Last Sunday I asked you a question: what books should be on my reading list? And I must say, I have been loving all of your suggestions on the blog post and  @lioninthewild Instagram, so thank you! I'm compiling a list now and I'm very excited to get into reading again (especially now the weather is cooling down - nothing better than being snuggled in bed on a chilly Sunday morning, drinking coffee and reading a good book!).

What have you been up to this week? x
