My Top 7 Budget Beauty Buys Right Now

Good for your face and your wallet.
________

I was doing my makeup the other day and I realised that I almost solely reach for high end products, when it wasn't that long ago that I could barely afford to splurge $20 on my favourite foundation (I believe it was by Revlon, from memory). And yet, amongst the shiny bottles and compacts, there still remains several budget go-to products that I could never replace and, even better, cost just a portion of the price - yippee!

1. Maybelline FIT Me! Dewy + Smooth Foundation - Sure, it's the perfect colour for my (faux) tanned skin, but that's not the only reason I've been reaching for this foundation. It's dewy and natural, easy-to-blend, and lasts all day long. Its Matte + Flawless counterpart might be the popular one, but this is a great alternative for dry skin types.

2. Face of Australia Glamazon Contour Kit  - It was atop My Top 20 Ultimate Makeup Finds of 2015 and continues to be a favourite well into 2016. In fact, I use the contour powder every single time I wear makeup. My face just isn't the same without it, I won't lie. It's hard to believe that a palette of such quality could be bought for just $9.95. Say what now?!

3. Sportsgirl Bronze Me Bronzing Powder  - I started using Sportgirl cosmetics a long time ago and yet the fashion brand still holds a place in my beauty bag. One of my favourites is the humungous Bronze Me Bronzing Powder, which is a subtle and natural kiss from the sun that I've been using for almost a whole decade. Now that's a long term budget buy!

4. Boe Professional Colour Pro Perfect Blush Duo  - I adore a good blush, but when one palette has two, well, I'm sold! Budget beauty brand, Boe Professional, sure knows how to do blush too. This apricot colour palette is the answer to our peachy prayers. The matte finish can be as punchy or as subtle as you'd like.

5. Rimmel London Brow This Way Brow Sculpting Kit  - Another product to make it to  My Top 20 Ultimate Makeup Finds of 2015  and beyond, this has been my go-to brow kit and it's only $12.95. The gel alone is worth that and more, so if you want perfectly defined brows, then this is the kit for you.

6. Maybelline The Nudes Eyeshadow Palette  - For the past couple of months, it's this cult Maybelline palette that I've been reaching for over and over again. It has a great combination of neutral mattes and shimmering golds, making it a must-have palette for both day and night. Trust me when I say, you need this in your makeup bag. Stat.

7. W7 Cosmetics Chunky Eyes - I love a quick and easy application, and these eyeshadow crayons are no different. I was so surprised by their beautiful shimmering finish and longevity (just make sure you prime and powder beforehand) that I couldn't not include these on the list.
