The Catch-Up: We're Back Home!
Our weekly conversation.
________
Another week, another weekly catch-up.
As we do every weekend, not only do I want to talk to you about the highlights of my week, but I also want to know about yours! Did you try a new recipe? Begin a new tradition? Or enjoy a little down time? No matter what it is, I'd love to know! After all, Lion in the Wild is all about conversation, getting to know each other and discovering new things.
1. Home. From the heat and humidity of Bali to the cold and wintry storms of Perth, we've arrived home from our getaway. My goodness, did it fly by! And despite the weather, I'm actually excited to be home and get back into everyday life, jumpers and jeans in tow.
For somebody that is addicted to travel, I'm very much a homebody. Plus, I kind of miss our Indi the Fur whenever we're apart (#catlady). I have so much new travel content coming your way over the coming weeks, so stay tuned for that!

2. Winter storms. Speaking of winter, I can believe we're just a few days away from the chilly season. Ever since we arrived home, it's felt like winter has come early with cold days and even a nasty storm; gale force winds, heavy rain and hail that briefly turned my backyard into a
winter wonderland. It's kind of exciting being able to use our ducted heating on the chilliest of mornings though - the first time I've had heating since moving out of home (that's almost five years!). And what a luxury!
3. Post-holiday pamper session. My skin has been seriously dehydrated since returning home, so I treated myself to a pamper session during the week, in an effort to rejuvenated my skin, hair and nails. Needless to say, I'm back to my naturally glowing self. And by 'naturally', I mean induced by amazing beauty products (duh). Post to come soon, stay tuned.
4. Work it, girl. Apart from my very lovely pamper session, this week has been all about getting back into work mode, which means super early mornings and late evenings (I've been working until bed time almost every night,
le sigh). I had
hundreds of emails to reply to, loads of photos to edit and posts to write. Truth be told, it's been an exciting week and I'm incredibly motivated right now.
5. Healthy eating. While I haven't yet thrown myself into my usual workout routine yet (the pitch black, freezing cold mornings aren't exactly enticing), I have been eating super healthy.
In a bid to save time and money, Brad and I have begun keeping a weekly meal plan, which has already made a huge difference. I created a pretty extensive breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack menu, and it's über nutritious and surprisingly delicious ( I'm a poet and I didn't even know it). So far, I'm really enjoying it and am actually excited to try my hand at cooking some new dishes. Don't tell Mum.

Wishing everyone a lovely weekend! x
