How to Have the Perfect Lazy Morning

Who would've thought that being lazy could be so difficult? When did it take actual effort to enjoy a little down time? Ever since the  cultural development of busy being 'glamourous' (guilty as charged!), it seems we've lost the ability to simply do nothing. Let's be honest, when was the last time you actually did nothing? I mean, I thoroughly enjoyed a warm bath the other night, but I had one eye on my phone and the other Netflix.

My not-so-relaxing moment got me thinking, what are the ingredients for relaxing (minus the day spa, regrettably)? So, today I've teamed up with Simone Pérèle to share with you five tips on how to have the perfect lazy morning.

1. Stay in bed. Where's the one place you're the most relaxed? In bed, of course! This is exactly why you shouldn't even think about moving from your comfy haven of  well-earned snoozing during your relaxing morning.

2. Don't get dressed. When did you last spend a whole morning in your pyjamas or favourite set of lingerie? I don't know about you, but when I find the most perfect lingerie set, I wear them as much as possible, and this stunning Simone Pérèle Idylle set (available here now) is no exception. How beautiful is the embroidered detail?! Needless to say, it was the prettiest (and comfiest!) morning accompaniment.

3. Reject the tech. Yep, even phones are banned from your relaxing AM (sorry, Insta Stories!). Staying away from screens will keep your mind in a state of tranquility, so this is one rule you can't break.

4. Enjoy a cuppa. You know me, it's not a good morning unless there's coffee, but a hot pot of tea wouldn't go astray either!

5. Get reading. Grab your favourite magazine or book and enjoy getting lost in another world. After all, reading has the ability to transform your mindset.
