2 New Favourites from The Body Shop
The makeup bag edition.
It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of The Body Shop. My love affair began over a decade ago as a young teenager who would save ever penny to splurge on one of their infamous Body Butters or Shower Gels. And while they will always have a place on my beauty shelf (or my bath caddy, apparently), it's their makeup collection that has caught my attention lately.
Yes, they're cruelty free (have you signed the Forever Against Animal Testing petition yet?), 100% vegan and free of any bad stuff, but as it turns out, the collection is actually kind of amazing too. I should've guessed! So, today I wanted to share with you two of my favourite new products from The Body Shop in my makeup bag right now.
1. The Body Shop Matte Clay Foundation
Clay is truly having its moment in beauty right now and I'm 100% onboard with the trend. The new vegan foundation from The Body Shop is infused with mattifying ghassoul clay and purifying tea tree, which means not only does it make your skin look flawless (would recommend applying with the new vegan Community Trade Buffing Brush or Beauty Blender), but it's also really good for your natural complexion (and any pesky breakouts - now that's what I'm talking about!).Needless to say, The Body Shop Matte Clay Foundation was my go-to during our trip to Bali this week as it's lightweight and breathable yet provides great coverage, mattifying in the humidity and perfect for my sensitive skin, which are available from the 6th August (head in-store now for a colour match!).
2. The Body Shop Down To Earth Eye Shadow Singles
I've got a real soft spot for neutral eyeshadows (one look at my eyeshadow collection is proof enough), but it was the new Eye Shadow Singles from The Body Shop that won the battle of the makeup bag during this trip to Bali. With just two super creamy shades (the shimmering 315 Penrhyn Slate and matte 201 Peru Clay) I was able to create a subtle daytime look, perfect for pool and cafe hopping, and a smokey brown eye for dinner. They're super pigmented yet easily buildable and blendable, which is probably why I've got my eye on every single shade on my wish list! Oops.
What are your favourite vegan beauty products from The Body Shop (and what else do I need on my wish list)?
