From brunch to beach to bar.

With just one week left of summer, what better way to celebrate than with a round-up of my summer outfits from the last week? Okay, you're right, a lazy day at the beach is a much better way to pay homage to another amazing summer, but this will have to do.

I feel like I really found my personal style this summer, mixing up my look and playing with different pieces. Usually, it's the cooler months where I experiment the most – I'm a sucker for winter layers – but the older I get, the more I know my body and feel confident in my own skin. It's pretty amazing the effect it can have not only on your personal style, but the way you view yourself (and our perfect imperfections!). So, here are my summer outfits from the @lioninthewild Instagram from the week that has been.

Day 1: Breakfast

I'm wearing: Apéro striped t-shirtGlassons faux leather skirt (old, but similar style here), Janessa Leone felt hat, Ray-Ban sunglasses, 3.1 Phillip Lim cross body bag from Shopbop, vintage black belt and Rag & Bone espadrille sneakers.

I kept it casual for a morning out with Brad, enjoying breakfast at The Little Pantry in Subiaco and drinking a cappuccino too many – it's what we do. 😏 This outfit is quintessentially 'me', combining all of my go-to styles for summer; a crew-neck tee, cinched-in waist, A-line mini skirt and the espadrille sneaker trend.

Day 2: Running Errands

I'm wearing: Cotton On yellow playsuit, ASOS baker boy cap,  Ray-Bansunglasses, Wanderlust + Co gold necklaces, Oroton (similar style here) bucket bag, vintage black belt and Windsor Smith combat boots.

This season has been the mildest summer I've ever experienced with not one day reaching 40°C in Perth, which is really strange. So, with the lack of heatwaves in this part of the world, this chunky-boot-lover has been able to rock as many pairs as she wishes, all day, everyday.

One of my favourite pairs are the lace-up combats boots, which I wore over-and-over again throughout the winter last year. They're are the perfect way to edge up a floating dress or a pretty playsuit, not to mention the comfort factor. 👌🏼

Day 3: Post-Swim Lunch

I'm wearing: Next stripe shirt (tied in a knot), white linen pants, yellow cross body bag, CLUSE marble watch, Quay sunglasses and Nude espadrille sandals.

After a morning spent at the beach with loved ones, we were craving a delicious lunch, so I swapped my denim shorts (see next outfit) for pants, knotted my shirt and headed to Dolphin Quay. Oversized button-up shirts have always been a staple in my wardrobe, but what I'm really loving this summer are lightweight trousers for something a little different. I'd already added an eye-catching yellow pair and white side split style to my wardrobe, but these ones from Next are the perfect classic white linen pant.

Day 4: Another Day at the Beach

I'm wearing: ASOS lace and frill bikini top, Next stripe shirt, denim shorts with lace insert and checked tote bag, Lack of Color black straw boater hat, Quay sunglasses, Cluse necklaces and watch, and Nude espadrille sandals.

I tell you what, there's not much that makes me as happy as when I'm on the coast. There's something about the wind in my hair, the salty air and sound of waves crashing that makes me feel so calm. I've been obsessed with the ASOS Swim collection for years now and this frill shoulder bikini top is going to be worn to death (if not already). I've also popped a few others I've splurged on this summer that I couldn't recommend more down below. 👇🏼

Day 5: Ladies Lunch

I'm wearing: Next floral blouse, skinny dark blue jeans, cross body circle bag and yellow slingback shoes.

Wrapping up my week of summer outfits from the @lioninthewild Instagram is a simple yet chic look I wore to lunch with girlfriends. Can we take a moment to appreciate how fabulous these slingback shoes are with a splash of yellow? The bright shade has clearly been a stand-out trend this summer and it's definitely found it's way into my wardrobe more than a few times. I really adore the low block heel and how surprisingly easy they are to incorporate into almost any outfit.
