ONE TARDY FOR AUTUMN

Brad and I shot this look last week (prior to the death of my Canon DSLR, thank goodness) for a small winter project, which I'll be sure to share with you when it is published. Truth be told, I was absolutely boiling wearing all these layers due to a tardy autumn, however it seems that the weather has finally cooled down in Perth (great news for a winter lover like me!).

I much prefer winter fashion than summer fashion as I'm a huge fan of layers, leather and covering up. This winter I'll be investing in (even more) monochromatic basics, such as my new striped top, and adding a pop of rich fall colour, like cobalt blue, emerald green and plum red. I'm well stocked for a cool winter after experiencing the harsh Canadian winter earlier in the year - there is something about minus-something degrees that makes my heart flutter with excitement. It really is too bad it doesn't quite get as cold in Perth, but heres hoping!

And just a quick update on the camera situation: Brad and I have decided to invest in a new camera, as it is going to cost a small fortune to fix my Canon DSLR. At this stage we're looking at the Canon 600D and a 50MM lens, which many of you have recommended (thanks!). All I can say is I am very much looking forward to playing with our new toy and getting back to shooting a whole bunch of outfits.
