FASHION BLOGGERS BLOCK

This morning Brad and I suffered from a mild dose of fashion bloggers block. Similar to writers block, fashion bloggers block can involve anything from a lack of styling, designing, writing or location inspiration. In this particular case, it was the latter. Before we venture out to shoot an outfit, it has become habit to pin all location responsibility on Brad and pray that he has somewhere in mind. However, on the odd occasion that he is unsuccessful in proposing a specific setting, the best option is often to jump in the car and just drive. Almost always we’ll discover a unique backdrop within the first 15-minutes of travelling, which thankfully was the case earlier.

While on our way south I noticed an interesting dark red dirt road to our right, typical to the Australian desert, and immediately asked Brad to turn around so we could explore its prospects. Incredibly, what we found just a hundred metres down the rough road was a large patch of lush green growth and densely populated paper barks, situated in the middle of dry farm land. Score!

It’s moments like these that can really make or break a photo shoot and a post. We were both on a natural high after chancing upon this slice of land and therefore the two of us were ‘in the zone’ when it came to snapping photographs. After the shoot was wrapped up we couldn’t help but high five each other with big grins on our faces (yeah, we’re that couple), knowing we’d triumphed against our bout of bloggers block.

The full outfit post featuring the awesome August Street will be up on Lion in the Wild tomorrow in the AM.
