MERRIBROOK: A ROMANTIC GETAWAY

On a whim earlier in the week, Bradley whisked me away to a surprise location in the South West for a quick country getaway. After hours of road tripping and a couple of pit stops, including the Cowaramup Brewery and renowned surfing spot Gracetown, we finally arrived at the luxurious Merribrook Retreat. Without the slightest clue of where we might be staying, my jaw dropped as we entered the incredibly lush Merribrook property. It seemed to me to be an enhanced version of the surrounding Margaret River countryside, beautiful in its own right.

Our villa, with its magnificent floor-to-ceiling windows, overlooked the private grounds to the lake giving an instant sense of serenity. Needless to say, I was thoroughly impressed by Brad's perfect choice of accommodation, with neither of us ever wanting to leave. Without phone reception (cue freak out, or not), there was nothing to do but explore the peaceful sanctuary and relax in our massive bath tub. Merribrook really did provide the perfect romantic escape. It's unexpected moments like these that really do make me think 'I'm truly the luckiest girl in the world'.
