GRANDMA'S HOUSE

I won't judge you if you assumed this was a magical fairy land. Because it is. Welcome to my Grandma's place. Ever since I first visited my family in Victoria as a mischievous 7-year-old (both of my parents are Victorian), I've admired this stunning property with its beautifully manicured gardens, sky-high hedges and historic cottages. And of course, those incredibly lush mountains in the not so far distance, or at least they were before the Black Saturday bushfires some years ago - the blackened land still bears the memories as it continues to heal. Needless to say, my Grandma's property was lucky to escape unscathed. Whenever I find myself here, I feel as though I have stepped back many decades in time. Instead of wearing jeans and a loud blouse, perhaps a lady-like dress would feel more appropriate? But then again, I never was one for pretty frocks.

I'm beyond excited as today Brad and I are off to the one and only Ikea! We've finally invested in a few pieces of furniture for our home and we desperately need to dress them up. Perhaps an interior decoration post is in order?
