LACK OF COLOR

In all seriousness, when did hats become cool? And I mean super über crazy cool. Flash back to the early 90s, when Mum would practically dip my brother and I in sunscreen, and force us into wearing the dorkiest hats ever. A certain fluro colour block cap complete with black flap comes to mind. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the sun-smart education that was drilled into me from a very young age (the red hair and pasty skin may indeed have something to do with that), but it's the photographs that scare me.

Fast forward to 2014, where we're celebrating the comeback of the hat. And it's thanks to labels like Lack of Color that we're now able to be sun-smart and appear effortlessly cool at the same time (who would've guessed?), minus the hefty price tag of, say, this one. While I've only just begun my collection of fedoras (though I've been wearing this one via Peace by Piece for a while), I have a feeling you'll be seeing more than just The Mirage here on Lion in the Wild.
