A Day in Sydney: The Bloggers Edit

Bloggers will be bloggers.

________

Rugged up in a white jacket trimmed with a faux fur-lined hood, the 'stylish' 16-year-old girl that I was(n't) is in complete contrast to the woman that explored Sydney a couple of weekends ago. Both are me, one in 2007 and the other seven years later. While I had admittedly mastered the perfect side-swept fringe (don't pretend you didn't have one), I much prefer the older, slightly more sophisticated me running around Sydney. No doubt in another seven years I'll incline towards the 30-year-old me. Surely the 30-something me is going to be so much cooler than the 20-something me, right?

Despite the fact that I have indeed previously explored this beautiful part of Australia, I found it almost as thrilled the second time around, spotting our iconic Aussie landmarks with Brad, Angeline and Charlotte. True, it's hard not to get excited with the ever bouncy and bubbly Angeline by your side. I was blessed with fabulous company.

Before Charlotte had to run off to catch her flight back to Melbourne, the four of us snuck in a delicious lunch at The Opera House Kitchen overlooking the Harbour. In my experience, restaurants in great locations tend to lack the 'drive' to provide great food, instead surviving purely on their million-dollar views, though the Kitchen thankfully did not fall into this average category. We all agreed, the food was scrumptious.

We spent much of the rest of the afternoon doing what bloggers do, taking a million snaps on our DSLR's and iPhones, Instagram ready. Needless to say, Sydney is pretty damn photogenic. And far more enjoyable sans fur trimmed hood.
