The White-on-White Trend with New Favourites

Can an understated detail steal the show?

________

As if I needed to prove once again that I am most certainly not over the white-on-white-[on-white-on-white-on-white] trend, Brad and I quickly took some snaps yesterday between running errands on the harbour with a few new favourites. Firstly, how amazing is this white ensemble from French Connection? While I'm digging the sports luxe vibes from the super slouchy jogger pant, another enduring trend, it's the crop top that steals the show with its minimalist sheer panel; an understated detail that makes a statement (is that even possible?).

In typical Lion in the Wild fashion, I styled this somewhat luxe combination with my new favourite jacket (on sale!) from Lemon Frankie, to make it daytime appropriate. I have to say, at this particular moment (so you don't judge me in a few years or so), I may even be in-lust with this boyfriend denim jacket more than my trusty faux leather biker that I've been sporting since the beginning of time. Or is that going too far? Needless to say, I'm adding it to my wardrobe staples list (note to self: new article idea perhaps?).

A clear quartz necklace by the ever talented Nat Kent and a simple nude heel finishes the look. Oh, and I can't forget to thank the strong fresh seaside 'breeze' for making shooting almost impossible (I swear in every other photo we took I was eating my hair and it's not as tasty as it looks in this post). Needless to say, the afternoon wind sure creates some challenging yet interesting photography.
