Early Spring Styling with Nana Judy
A little for winter, a little for summer.
________
While we're 11-days deep into spring here in Australia, the weather hasn't quite warmed up as much as I'd like (though soon I know I'll be complaining that it's too hot), with chilly mornings and evenings. My wardrobe seems to be growing each day with gorgeous spring pieces in hope for some warm weather, but with such sporadic weather, it's this time of year that constantly challenges me in the styling department. The past few days in Perth, for example, we've witnessed sunshine and perfect blue skies change to gloomy dark clouds, damaging winds and a lot of rain, all in the same day. I mean, how the heck am I suppose to dress for four different seasons in just one day? And so, I call on my Melbourne instincts, because hey, they're experts in erratic weather.
To me, early spring is all about enjoying new spring/summer styles with smart winter layering; your favourite coat is going to keep you cosy and dry during your early starts, yet is easy as 1-2-3 to remove for when the sun is shining and you'd like to soak up some delicious vitamin D. I'm absolutely loving the crop top and super high-waisted denim combination too by über cool label, Nana Judy. The felt fedora, my favourite accessory, not only protects my face from the sun or rain, but also keeps my head warm and really polishes off a chic look. Win-win!
This particular outfit really embodies what September dressing is to me; a little for winter, a little for summer. And as always, a freshly brewed cappuccino, but hey, that's an all-year-round necessity, right?
And now I am off to watch the first episode of the final Sons of Anarchy season!
