My 'Non-Fitness Blogger' Workout Routine

With a lot of help from Russell Athletic.

________

One of the questions I receive a lot from you guys is how I manage to stay fit and healthy, and since I'm not a fitness blogger, I've always been hesitant to answer since it's not my area of expertise. Over the years I've learnt what works for me, my body and my mind (although it continues to change). While I like to get outside and move, I'm not a fitness junkie. When I workout, my goal is to remain healthy and active, especially now that my days are less active than ever before, as they're more than not spent sitting in front of my iMac.

As a creature of habit, my workouts are often done in the morning before I start my work day. It can be anything from an hour-long power walk, beach sprinting, circuit training or a quick intensive 7-minute workout. I'm not strict on myself, or else I'd probably do nothing at all. If I really don't have the time, between replying to emails and editing photos, I'll do a 50 squats or lunges or something to make up for it right in my office (plus, it's a great natural warmer during those cold winter months!).

I know you'll agree when I say there is nothing more motivating than some spanking new stylish workout gear, which is why I'm so thrilled to be teaming up with Russell Athletic to showcase their fabulous Steph Rice x Performance range. As I mentioned before, I'm not a fitness blogger, but I am a lifestyle blogger. I'm constantly on-the-go, which means my workout wear has to fit in with my crazy lifestyle, as well as be super comfortable, breathable and, yes, look fabulous (amiright?).

For me, it's the little things that really make these pieces perfect for me and my lifestyle. It's the hidden pocket in the Workout Tights that keep my iPhone and house keys secure, the moisture wicking fabric that keeps me cool and dry, and the oversized style of the Marle T-Shirt that make me feel comfortable. It's the way I don't feel like a complete hot and sweaty out-of-place mess when I walk into a coffee shop after my workout for my morning latte. And it's the way that it motivates get my butt out of bed and get moving.

I'd love to know what do you do to keep fit and healthy!
