Plus, updates on my busy Monday.

________

Boy-oh-boy, has it been a huge Monday! My super early start included sending hundreds of emails (not even exaggerating), drinking a pot of green tea and directing tradesmen at our new house. For the last couple of weeks, our yard has been all dirt and not a lot else, but we finally got our exposed aggregate poured today in our front and backyards, as well as our driveway. We spent months sourcing the right colour and while it's not 100% finished yet, I'm really happy with the way it looks. And don't worry, I'm going to be sharing with you a lot of exterior and interior design over the coming months, so you'll get to see it all.

I'll admit, it's a bit awkward having the tradesmen everywhere, as we don't have any window furnishings yet, so they can see right into our house. Luckily though, they were all really nice, and I worked from my office, where we have a sheet up over the window (very sheet-chic, if I don't say so myself).

I ended up running some errands today as well, including picking up some exciting parcels at the post office, which I'll share with you really soon, either here or on the @lioninthewild Instagram. And of course, I stopped along the way for my usual large capp (I love coffee!) to keep me going. Tomorrow is going to be just as busy, if not more, but I'm really excited to do a couple of exciting photo shoots.

Brad and I shot this fabulous Shona Joy outfit yesterday at my favourite time of the day to photograph; golden hour! I have to say, I am absolutely loving the new Shona Joy collection and this outfit is definitely one that I had to get my hands on. I remember when I was a little girl, my mum always used to dress me in matching little outfits, so much so that I never wanted to look at a matching outfit ever again (proof when I turned into a tomboy at age 9). As I since discovered, Mum was definitely onto something, even if it took me almost two decades to appreciate. I mean, here I am, wearing not two but three matching items in the same outfit. Are you proud of me, Mum?

PS. I hope you're all enjoying these more personal diary-like posts! While I love writing 'fashun' spiels, I also really want you all to get to know me better. Plus, I kind of love reading about what other bloggers do on a day-to-day basis!
