1 Palette, 3 Contoured Eye Looks with Kat Von D

Who wouldn't be excited about this eye palette?

________

It is an exciting time for fellow beauty lovers, with so many new incredible cosmetic launches this year alone. Quite frankly, I think the "2015 Beauty Favourites" videos circling at the end of the year are going to be a good half hour longer than usual, since I can imagine it's going to be increasingly difficult to narrow down the list.

I was incredibly excited to get my hands on the Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette, especially seeing as though I'm all about flattering neutrals when it comes to eyeshadow. It was at the Sephora Exclusive Brands Showcase at Fashion Week in Sydney that I first fell in-love with its three matte and satin colour quads, so you can imagine how excited I was to receive it in the event gift bag (best gift bag ever!).

So, I really wanted to show you the three main eye looks you can achieve with this ah-mazing palette, which are all about the base, contouring, defining and highlighting. Of course, you can mix and match the colours as you wish, so just imagine the versatility of this palette!
________

Look #1: Neutral

This is the quad I would usually gravitate towards, as it's not too warm and not too cool, which tends to be perfect for my fair colouring. Honestly, I've been wearing this particular look almost every single day of late; it's a really wonderful daily palette that allows a smokey look without it being too dark.

I'm wearing: MinkPink striped shirt
________

Look #2: Cool

I don't usually wear black eyeshadow on my eyes, leaving that only to my eyeliner, however I was really excited to create a dramatic look with this quad. With an accentuated cat eye, created with a liquid eyeliner, this is definitely a wonderful palette for a night out.

I'm wearing: Black by Geng knit jumper
________

Look #3: Warm

I'll admit, I was super excited to try this particular quad, even thought the orange/red colours don;t tend to suit me. I never really liked warm tones previously, but many of my favourite beauty bloggers have been sporting these colours a lot recently, so I was looking forward to trying it for myself. While I think the light orange base is too much for me, I was surprised to see that the red actually wasn't too bad. And yes, @IndiTheFur thought it only appropriate that she was featured as well (cat for Kat, y'all know?).

I'm wearing: Ruby Sees All vest and striped top
