Beauty Test: The Two-Toned Lip

Is this a beauty look you'd try?

________

When I first spotted these two beautiful You by Sia Mineral Lipsticks side-by-side, I was instantly inspired to create the two-toned lipstick look that I've seen doing the rounds on Pinterest. Usually done with highly pigmented, super bright and matte finish lipsticks, I loved the idea of using these muted (yet still bright) Mineral Lipsticks that make this super sweet look more wearable. Plus, it kind of solves the whole "what lipstick to wear?" conundrum.

THE REVIEWS:

The You by Sia Mineral Lipsticks in Awesome Alison is the shade I'd wear the most out of the two, being a beautiful sheer coral that almost feels like a balm on application. It builds nicely, but definitely isn't a super bold colour even with layers on layers, which I personally really like about it. It's one of those shades that you could easily wear every day due to its moisturising texture and sheer colour.

The Kinky Krista pink applies less sheer than the coral, and is the definition of a barbie pink lip. It's super bright and almost fluorescent, but surprisingly not in a bad way. It applies with a very healthy sheen and is still buildable into a highly pigmented pink.
