I've Never Been Into Facial Mists Until Now

My favourite new beauty essential.
________

Flash back to Day 1 of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia earlier this year. After a very early start to the morning, running around Sydney with little beauty sleep, I finally arrived at Carriageworks. Within the space of a couple of minutes, I ran into fellow bloggers and photographers, was on the phone to Elise from Skinstitut and hurrying backstage at Bec & Bridge while being snapped by Adam Katz Sinding for W Magazine. Surprisingly though, backstage was a calm environment, a stark contrast to my whirlwind of a morning, not at all how I remember them.

The one thing I recall from Bec & Bridge backstage was not the beautiful bronzed skin or feathery brows by MAC (okay, so it's clear that I'm still gushing over the runway beauty look), but the amazing Skinstitut products prepping the models skin, which had that desirable 'lit from within' look. In fact, there was one in particular that I just knew I had to get my little mitts on; the Skinstitut Multi-Active Mist. Now, the lovely ladies backstage from Skinstitut couldn't have been more knowledgable or enthusiastic about the skincare brand and its products, and were raving about the Multi-Active Mist. I'm not somebody who is convinced very easily, but heck, they managed to convince me and here I am today, announcing my love for this facial mist (thanks ladies!), after years of avoiding this beauty craze.

The bottle currently sits on my desk, right next to my new Jurlique Precious Rose 30th Anniversary Hand Cream, ready to spritz onto my face (yes, even if I'm wearing makeup) whenever I need a little freshening up. Yeah, I like that it hydrates and adds a healthy glow, but the best thing about the Mist is how it makes me skin feel. For somebody with naturally sensitive skin, I love that after a few minutes my skin instantly feels calm, like there is no irritation despite my impending hormonal breakout.

I have a feeling I'll be running out of this bottle pretty soon, especially since I've also started spritzing it after my morning and evening cleanse, purely because it just feels too good not to. There's not many products out there that give you that instant satisfaction, but this is definitely one of them. So yes, Skinstitut has clearly sold me on the whole facial mists trend. Oh, and did I mention the Skinstitut Multi-Active Mist has currently got 30% off here?

Do you like facial mists or are do you feel like they're just another gimmicky product?
