The Coolest Soaps Around Town

Did I mention they're Aussie made with natural and organic ingredients?
________

A weird fact about me: I collected soaps as a kid. I had dozens of them stored in this big tin and I can't remember ever using them. Now that I think about it, it was kind of strange thing to collect for a child. I guess I liked the different designs and, of course, the fragrance. Needless to say, soaps now play a much more traditional and practical part in my life (aka. cleansing my body, duh).

If there were a couple of soaps I really didn't want to use though, and instead have them on display in all of their flipping-cool-packaging glory, it's the Kester Black Hand & Body Soaps. Fortunately though, the lure of coconut oil, jojoba seed oil, vitamin E and shea butter was all too tempting, and so I proceeded to carefully open the illustrated paper wrapping, revealing very generous sized block of soap. As soon as they were opened, I was greeted with the most delicious scent; the Gingerbread Hand & Body Soap smelled just like gingerbread and the White Fig Hand & Body Soap just like white fig (funny that!). Between them, I was salivating like no tomorrow (too much information?).

And just when I thought you couldn't top the scent, I was blown away by just how well they worked. I mean, they lathered up well, got rid of all those gross day-to-day impurities and left my skin not squeaky clean (because everybody in the know knows that's short for dried out skin), but richly nourished and moisturised. I may or may not have skipped applying my usual body moisturisers as well, partly due to the fact that I was lazy and it was cold, but also because my skin just felt damn good.

The bars actually last quite some time as well, unlike many sweet-smelling, moisturising soaps, like the Lush Honey I Washed The Kids soap (which I love anyway), so while $14 a pop might sound a bit much, keep this in mind. So, if you're into Aussie made, organic and natural products, then you're going to love these super cool luxurious soaps as much as I do.
