The Basics, The Stripes and The Laser Cuts

A definite outfit repeater with Missguided.

You already know how much I adore Missguided (the multitudes of style posts the brand has been featured are proof enough, let alone the contents my wardrobe!), so when they contacted me to collaborate I couldn't put my hand up fast enough, especially since I already had my eye on these killer Laser Cut heels. The best thing though, is that these pieces arrived just in time for our beautiful spring-like winter weather here in Perth, just before we're scheduled for more rain and shivering temperatures.

One of the reasons I've gone back to Missguided over and over again for years is not just because of their ridiculously affordable prices (girl has to save somewhere, right?), but also due to the fact that there is always something new in stock, no matter what occasion I'm shopping for. Heck, even now as I'm scrolling through their latest arrivals, I've spotted another few pieces I need in my wardrobe (what do you think of this shirt dress? - I'm not even kidding). [Insert wide-eyed emoji here.]

I must say (and maybe only to distract myself from adding that dress to my cart), this has the be one of my favourite outfits of the year so far (I know, big call). I feel as though it really embodies the direction my style has taken, which often involves a good basic or three that I know I'll get a ridiculous amount of wear out of like the black Missguided Scuba Shift Dress and something a little more trendy like the lightweight Striped Duster Coat. Oh, and don't even get me started on the sandals - they're even more fabulous in real life!

I'm currently sitting on the couch typing away with @IndiTheFur sound asleep at my feet, witnessing a pretty incredible sunset form outside my window. It's definitely not a bad way to wind down after a big day. And by 'big day' I mean catching up over coffee and brunch with my Mum, and trying to dig my way through hundreds of emails. Oh, and admiring my favourite new heeled sandals from afar (we have a no-shoes in our new house - boo!).
