Stand Together for Jeans For Genes Day

As you know, today is Jeans for Genes Day, a fundraising campaign for the Children's Medical Research Institute, where scientists work to discover treatments and cures for children born with a birth defect or genetic disease. There aren't any better causes than those that support the innocent and helpless, which is one of the reasons I wanted to team up with Dricoper this month.

As I get older, I realise how truly fortunate I was to have the carefree childhood that I did, thanks to my loving parents and good health. Unfortunately, too many children do not have the latter, and instead spend their young years battling defects or diseases as their parents watch on, helpless. Recently, I was told that an old friend of mine had found out that her unborn child would be born with a rare defect, and will unfortunately be fighting for his life the moment he enters this world.

I guess this is why I really just had to support this cause; for people like her, like her family, like her children.
