The Moisturisers that Double Up as Luxe Masks

Hydration at it's most luxurious (even in summer).
________

I'll admit, I have had a tendency in the past to neglect my skincare routine a little in the summertime. Don't get me wrong, I never leave the house without lathering on loads of SPF, but for some reason I slacken off when it comes to moisturising. My skin isn't anywhere near as dry in summer as it is in the cooler months, which is surely no surprise, but that doesn't mean I don't need that extra bit of hydration year-round. In fact, come summer, we should be increasing hydration levels to balance out increased oiliness and add a natural, healthy glow.

And while there are some really great daily moisturisers on the market (you already know that one of my favourites is the Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar Dry), I really enjoy indulging in an intensely hydrating cream, and even better, one that doubles as a luxurious mask. I've been using the Grown Alchemist Hydra-Repair Cream-Masque, a new addition to my skincare stash, a couple of times a week every month as a leave-on mask and, my goodness, is it damn good! If I use it in the morning, I'll gently massage a thin layer into my skin, which feels wonderfully rich and gives my skin an unbelievably fresh summer dewy complexion. Applied before bed, I prefer to massage a substantial amount of the Hydra-Repair Cream onto my face as a leave-on mask, since it has time to sink into my skin and reap the full benefits of its brilliant natural ingredients.

The Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief can also be used as a beautifully nourishing mask, as well as an exceptional moisturiser. The Clinique Extended Thirst Relief has been one of my go-to skincare products for well over a year now. Whenever I'm time-poor and feel like my skin is uncomfortably dry, I whack on a decent layer of the pretty peach gel to my face and neck, and leave it on for 5-10 minutes for a quick hit of intense moisture. It is quite literally like a 'drink' for your skin, and leaves me feeling refreshed and ready for the day ahead (without having to worry about my makeup sticking to any dry patches).

I even have a travel sized tub of it for when I'm on-the-go and can feel my skin turning into sandpaper (yep, it happens). I put a little of the product on the back of my hand and lightly dab at it with my finger, then press it over my makeup onto dry areas like around my nose, my chin and forehead. It works an absolute treat and I love the dewy glow the Clinique Moisture Surge gives my skin.

What is your favourite multi-tasking moisturiser? I'd love to know!
