My Current PM Skincare Routine

Nourishing and hydrating.
________

This time last week, I shared with you my current morning skincare routine, so today I'm swapping it over and laying my evening skincare regime out on the table. While I do use a few of the same products in both the AM and PM, there are a few bits and pieces that I reserve specially for nighttime. While I put a focus on protecting my skin during the daytime, at night I prefer to pack it full of super nourishing ingredients that are going to work their magic while I snooze.

One of the best things you can do for your skin (if not the best) is to remove any makeup from the day. I actually look forward to this first step at night, as it instantly makes me feel so much cleaner and fresher after a long day. At the moment, my go-to is the Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Make-Up Remover, which I use to drench a couple of cotton pads (one for each eye). With stubborn makeup, the trick is to press the cotton pads on the eye for a few seconds, allowing the solution to work it's way through every nook and cranny, and only then very gently wiping it off. It definitely shouldn't take too much to get it all off. Then, I once again massage the Frank Body Creamy Face Cleanser over my face and neck, which does a great job of removing any other makeup. If it's a super late night or I'm feeling a bit lazy (c'mon, we all have those nights), then I use the Ole Henriksen Grease Relief Cleansing Cloths from Sephora, which also doubles as an exfoliant with one textured side.

Once or twice a week I'll lightly massage The Microdelivery Exfoliating Facial Wash by Philosophy in the shower if I feel like I need it, but, to be honest, Brad is the one that actually uses this stuff almost every single night, so we're going through it like crazy. If you're going to choose a physical exfoliant though, this one by Philosophy is top-notch.

Out of the shower, I immediately apply the Grown Alchemist Balancing Toner again, as I do in my AM skincare routine, which sets my skin up for the Philosophy When Hope Is Not Enough Replenishing Oil. I just got the last few drops out of my all-time favourite Kosmea Certified Organic Rose Hip Oil, but the Philosophy Replenishing Oil has been a really great replacement (I've actually been using it for a few months now).

I also double up on the Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar Dry, another one of my favourite products ever, which is evident when you see how little product I've got left (nooo!). I use a bit more at nighttime as well, as I want to pack my typically dry skin with as much moisture possible, setting myself up for the next 8 or so hours. Also looking to the future, I end my daily PM skincare routine by lighting patting on a small amount of the 100% Pure Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream from The Nourished Life, which means I avoid waking up with dark circles and super puffy eyes. If I'm lazy one night and don't apply it, I definitely pay for it in the morning.

What are your favourite skincare products to apply before bedtime?
