A Summer Escape in My Own Backyard
And a new summer outfit repeater.

On the weekend, Brad and I found a moment to go to the beach just before the winds picked up in the afternoon. We've been so busy lately (well, actually, we've been crazy busy all year!), yet we somehow always make time to spend at the coast, if not just to breathe in the fresh, salty air and relax for just a second. Even when it isn't warm like it is right now, being at the beach just makes me feel so damn good; always has, always will.Dressed in one of my new summer dresses (currently 20% off!), we took a stroll along the beautiful coastline that we're lucky enough to call home and got a few snaps along the way (of course!). What first tickled my fancy with this dress was not the beautiful pattern, but the bell sleeves, which have been high on my must-have list since Ellery debuted them in all of their oversized glory. Sure, this dress is definitely not Ellery, but its light fabric makes it a perfect summer piece for a breezy day at the beach.
And, not surprisingly, I didn't feel like this outfit was complete without my go-to fedora, $15 sandals (my latest bargain!) and super cool Ray-Ban's. Needless to say, this outfit is definitely going on my summer repeat list, especially since the holiday's are coming up so soon, which can only mean one thing; beach, beach and more beach! Yippee!
Moving to the beach was the best idea we have ever had, that's for sure. Our last house was only a 10-minute drive to the coast, but now we're just a hop, skip and jump away from our very own front door. We moved into our new home earlier this year just as the warm weather was escaping us, so I am ridiculously excited for this beautiful sunshine that will no doubt drench our days for another few months in the very least.
I'm currently on the lookout for some new bikinis as well. I have a feeling I'll be living in mine over Christmas and New Years, and I can;t just keep wearing my favourite Jets by Jessica Allen two-piece, now can I? What do you think of this off-the-shoulder bikini set and these fabulous lace-up high waist bikini bottoms? They're both high on my wish list right now!
Anyway, I should be off! I've got a zillion things to do, including doing an online grocery shop, before I hit the pillow tonight and I really need to get an early night after my early morning insomnia today (isn't it the worst?). If you know of any home remedies, definitely let me know!
