The First Week of Summer

The weekly round-up.
________

Another week, another weekly round-up.

First week of summer. And it's raining. Yeah, raining! I mean, it's been so hot all November (and pretty much all September and October too), yet here we are, finally in summer and it's 18°C. What is with that? And while it may seem like I'm complaining, the drop is temperature is actually refreshing. Plus, I know that this is the last of the 'cold' weather we're going to have in a long time. May as well enjoy it!

My mum, the rock star. Last night the family and I went to my old stomping grounds at Curtin Uni (I haven't been there since I graduated over 4 years ago - where did all that time go?!) to celebrate my very own amazing mum and her graduate exhibition. She just finished her Fine Arts Degree with flying colours (no surprises there) and it was such a pleasure to view her work at yet another exhibition. I'll be honest, I'm not really 'into' fine art, but I do know good art when I see it and Mum's is just that and more. She's going to have an incredible career as a practising artist (and already is!). So proud of you, Mum!

Smooth legs for summer. I've been using men's shavers for years now and they just don't cut it. I mean, I want silky smooth legs and now I finally have them thanks to there new Venus Swirl razor that I've been trialling for a couple of weeks now. I shaved my legs yesterday morning and they're still smooth now! That has literally never happened to me. I'll put it down to the Venus Swirl and the fact that I've been packing on body moisturisers lately (and I'll be sharing with you my favourites next week!).

Christmas scented home. Yep, as it turns out, even our house at the beach can smell like it's straight out of a northern hemisphere Christmas catalogue (I'm talking falling snow, fireplaces and a non-plastic tree). I'm going to be sharing with you the limited edition scents that have made our home more festive than ever, and we don't even have our Christmas tree up (it's happening tomorrow, I swear).

The 1 Palette, 4 Looks series. This week on YouTube I've been celebrating the Urban Decay Vice 4 Eye Shadow Palette that I got from the amazing Mecca. So far, I've created three looks; the pink and purple eye, the warm and neutral everyday look, and a metallic smokey eyeshadow look. And the best thing is that there's another one on its way next week too, so make sure you subscribe to Lion in the Wild on YouTube so you don't miss out!

Have an amazing weekend everyone! x
