The Much Needed Pre-Christmas Pamper Session

Faking afternoon naps and long sleep-ins.
________

I don't know about you guys, but this month has got me craving afternoon naps and long sleep-ins, despite the fact that there is just noway I could possibly indulge in either thanks to a hectic schedule. Not only am I feeling tired, but my skin sure is looking like it too, which is why I've already set aside time to indulge in a much needed pamper session before Christmas Eve so I look (and feel) all shiny and new for the holidays.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I have enough time to enjoy a warm bath and one of the Lush Limited Edition Five Gold Rings to set the mood for my pamper session. I could think of nothing better than popping on the cool Manicare Soothing Eye Gel, while my Glasshouse White Christmas Triple Scented Candle burns in the background, and soaking in a tub of delicious vanilla right now. Ahhhh. If not though, I'm definitely going to crack open my Lush Snow Fairy in the shower and smother myself in a sweet fairy floss delight. And, of course, no pamper session is complete without a good scrub-a-dub-dub, also known as opening a fresh packet of my favourite Frank Coffee Scrub massaging the rough goodness all over my skin. Words cannot describe how much my body (and face!) adore this stuff.

After my shower or bath (please, please, please be a bath), I'm going to massage Bio-Oil into my body after resurfacing my love for it recently as an intense hydrating treatment. Once it's soaked in, I'll also use one of my favourite body moisturisers for an added glow, since my skin has been extra dry recently - perhaps the Elemis British Botanical Body Cream or Grown Alchemist Body Cream? Ah, the difficult decisions in life.

Then it's time to give my face some love. I've been skipping my weekly facial and mask sessions recently for lack of time, so I'm starting off with the Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Boosting 5-Minute Facial Self-Foaming Mask. I've spoken about my love for this once-a-week 5-Minute Facial on Lion in the Wild previously for its amazing powers to draw out impurities and leave your skin sparkling clean and smooth. If you find that your skin stings occasionally from treatments, then I'd recommend not cleansing your face beforehand, a little trick I use all the time.

Next up, I'm going to indulge in a multi-mask to target specific areas of concern. First things first, it's the Sephora Pomegranate Eye Mask that is going to nourish my under eye area for brighter and more awake eyes. The Sanctuary Spa 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask, which I apply to my t-zone and along my jawline, will sooth and calm my breakout prone skin. A thick layer of the Clinique Turnaround Revitalising Instant Facial is smoothed onto any other bare area of my skin to hydrate and add a healthy glow. When washing off the Detox Mask and Instant Facial, be sure not to disturb the Eye Mask, as any extra serum left under the eyes should be gently pat into the area for extra goodness. To finish my skincare, I also press the Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Replenishing Serum.

While I'm waiting for the multi-mask to work it's magic though, I do a little DIY manicure and pedicure. Not surprisingly, it's my favourite white and gold glitter ombré nail polish I'm going to be doing for Christmas again, in all of its festive, yet chic, glory. Truth be told, I'll probably be wearing this one after the holidays as well.

Since I'm going to be spending all that time making my nails look pretty, it's only fair that I apply  the delicious Burt's Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme, as well as the Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream for smooth and hydrated hands. Oh, and also just because they're the most delicious scented products ever.

And that is my pre-Christmas pamper session, to ensure I'm refreshed and relaxed for a lovely Christmas break! Who else can't believe that Christmas is in just 3 days?!
