My 2016 Blog Goals and Resolutions

This is what you can expect from Lion in the Wild this year.
________

I've already shared with you My 2016 New Years Resolutions (That I'm Going to Keep!), but I also really wanted to be transparent about my goals for my little corner of the Internet, Lion in the Wild, so you, my seriously brilliant readers, know what to expect as we get into a New Year. As you might know already, I absolutely adore blogging and everything that comes with it. Coming up with a concept, developing and refining it, and then finally putting it into production, editing and publishing it for the world to experience is something that I have been passionate about my entire life (far before creative direction became my job). With each year that passes, I feel like I'm more confident in my voice here on the blog, and aim to continuously revamp what we create and share.

Daily blogging. Just incase you haven't noticed, we have been publishing a post here almost every single day here on Lion in the Wild over the past several months. And while this month has had a slow start thanks to my long overdue break, I'm determined to keep up the momentum. I actually have so much fun coming up with loads of new post ideas and blogging every single day, especially now that my time management skills have improved tenfold and thus have become far more efficient. There's never a boring day at #litwHQ!

More #OOTD style posts. In 2015, Lion in the Wild made a transition from a style blog to that with a huge beauty focus (because, hey, I love makeup). And while the change was so well received, quite a few of you have commented on how much you miss our frequent personal style posts. With that said, I am determined to share a whole bunch of new outfits every week with you this year, especially now that I'm hiring a photography assistant (woohoo!).

Getting personal. Another type of post that is requested a lot is something a little more personal. This is something that I've struggled with, which is strange because I adore bloggers that are very open. After all, isn't that the whole reason why personal blogging became so popular? And so, you can expect far more casual life updates and fun lifestyle posts this year.

A new Blogging Tips series. If I had a dollar for every email I received asking for blog advice, I'd have bought the Givenchy Antigona a long time ago. As I found out in 2015, I actually really enjoy sharing both my blogging experiences, tips and hacks. In fact, my blogging posts were some of the most popular last year, from the 7 Things I've Learned from Blogging to my guide on How to Create an Editorial Calendar for Your Blog. Every month I'll be sharing more honest insights into the mysterious world of blogging (if you have any requests, comment below), so stay tuned!

Becoming a Youtuber. Say what now? I never would've thought I'd be a video content creator. I love writing, photography and graphic design - not so much awkwardly talking into a camera. And yet somehow in 2015, I actually began enjoying and even becoming slightly addicted to the world of YouTube. I had one of those light bulb moments where I was like, "So, that is why YouTube is such a huge phenomenon!". I've been creating a new video for the Lion in the Wild YouTube Channel most weeks, but this year it will be a lot more frequent. You can expect to see more soon, so make sure you subscribe!

Spreading the love. One of the most rewarding aspects of blogging is the support and even friendship you experience from fellow bloggers, whether you live in the same city or across the world. There is going to be an emphasis on spreading some serious blog love in 2016, and not just on Twitter, but here on the Lion in the Wild blog. I began blogging because I was addicted to reading other amazing blogs, so expect to discover new exciting corners of the Internet every month from here on in.
