A New Go-To Combo: Khaki and White

Featuring Grana and Bardot.
________

After a few days of rain, wind and cold (what is this summer?!), it's finally time to whip on the shirts and skirts again - thank goodness for that! While the northern hemisphere street style stars and bloggers continue to make me wish for winter and layers, I'm definitely not quite ready for the cool change just yet. Give me bare legs and sunshine for a while longer, thank you Mr. Weatherman.

I've decided that I need to introduce more khaki into my wardrobe, especially since I've been wearing this basic oversized tee from Grana non-stop since I got it. It's the softest cotton t-shirt I have, even after multiple washes. I'm kind of hoping I come across a boyfriend shirt dress in khaki during my frequent online shopping crawls in which I add a zillion things to my wish lists - if you've spotted one, please spill!

When it comes to pencil skirts, like this lace number from Bardot, I'm definitely one to dress them down with a cool tee or button-up shirt. And while I can't go passed a pair of classic stiletto sandals, my first instinct was to style this outfit with a backpack and cool kicks (Adidas, I'm looking at you). Alas, just another item on my wish list! Go figure.

I'm currently sitting on the couch with my heels replaced with bare feet, hair tied back into a low pony (when did my hair get so damn long?), typing away on my MacBook with Indi curled up asleep next to me. I've still got so much on my to-do list for today, but I'm thinking about pushing the rest until tomorrow and enjoying a long hot bath tonight after a stretching session. I'm a bit sore after my workout yesterday morning (skipping, legs and cardio) and I don't want to be in pain tomorrow - we all know the second day is the worst.

And with that said, it's time I finished a few tasks and relax!
