The Catch-Up: A Long Weekend and A Short Week

Another week, another weekly catch-up (that, by the way, was suppose to go live on the weekend - oops!). As we do every week, not only do I want to talk to you about the highlights of my week, but I also want to know about yours! Have you discovered a new lipstick shade? Taken a little 'me' time? Or buy a new book? No matter what it is, I'd love to know! After all, Lion in the Wild is all about conversation, getting to know each other and discovering new things.
A late start to the week. Isn't it amazing when you're organised enough to not to stress over the fact that you now only have 4-days to finish your to-do list? Even when the week before was also only had four working days? Who am I? Anyway, while I sit here relaxed, I can't help but wish every weekend was a super long weekend. Sure, Brad and I watched a lot of Netflix, but it was also a delight to spend a heap of time with our families and get down to the beach (sans swim - it was drizzling slightly). Needless to say, I don't think we're going to fit all of that into this weekend. #takemeback
A designer splurge. Guess what I did? Something very naughty. I purchased my first pair of Acne boots from Shopbop! My wish list on Shopbop is beyond extensive, so I figured it was about time I begun to chip away at it, right? Anyway, you will no doubt be seeing them as soon at they arrive on the @lioninthewild Instagram!
Break outs. I've been breaking out over the last week, which is a little out of character for my skin nowadays. I swear I haven't even had that much chocolate - also unusual for me at this time of the year, hehehe. While battling my current skin situation, I realised that I naturally simplify my skincare and makeup routine during these times, so I noted all these changes down and have a blog post going up next week to share them with you. Stay tuned!
Time to re-brand. This week I'm going to be swapping my keyboard for a Sharpie as I begin the process of re-branding Lion in the Wild. This has been one of those start-stop projects over the last year or so, which I begun with my graphic designer bestie, Brooke. While we have the website design developed, it still needs a lot of refining. Over the following week though, my aim will be to get in touch with my inner graphic designer (I studied it as well as Advertising Design), find my way around Illustrator again and create a new typographic logo. Here's hoping the creative juices are flowing! The coffee definitely will be.
Flowers for a cause. I got a beautiful delivery during the week from Interflora to celebrate their McGrath Foundation Collection, which features stunning pink-hued (of course!) flower arrangements. 5% of all purchases from this worthy collection goes to the incredible McGrath Breast Care Nurses, a cause close to my heart.
