The Must-Have White Boyfriend Shirt Dress

After years of searching, I have finally discovered the perfect white shirt dress in all of it's oversized glory. Trust me when I say, this is no easy feat. I wanted one in a boyfriend style that had a classic collar, a not-too-short yet not-too-long length and no cheeky see-through fabric. Like I said, it was a challenge.
Lo and behold, the shirt dress of my dreams, from none other than Beginning Boutique. To me, there's nothing more effortlessly chic than a 'thrown on' shirt dress styled with your favourite everyday bag, a pair of cool shades and comfy flats. It's one of the ultimate timeless pieces that is most certainly on my wardrobe must-have list (along with the classic boyfriend shirt, of course).
The best thing about the humble shirt dress is that you can wear it no matter the weather. Sure, it looks damn good by itself on a sunny day, but there's nothing quite like layering it with a pair of go-to skinny jeans, a warm jumper, cosy scarf and a winter jacket on those chilly days.
On another note, this last couple of weeks have been some of the busiest ever at Lion in the Wild HQ. I've had project after project roll in this month, all with unusually tight deadlines, for both collaborations with the blog and my creative freelance work. Somehow I've managed to make it all work too, despite some setbacks (deliveries, you know how to goes), which really shows me just how far I've come in terms of organisation and managing the pressures of running your own business. And you know what? It feels pretty damn good.
While this week is proving itself to be the busiest of them all, I'm thoroughly looking forward to taking the weekend off. Brad has also been working 7-days a week, so it's going to be bliss to just do nothing for two whole days.
For now though, it's time to fend off any lurking afternoon naps (while wearing my comfy loungewear, of course) and enjoy another cappuccino as I settle in for another late night of editing.
