3 Genius Tips to Help You Pack Like a Pro

And still look fashionable.

Let's be honest. Packing your suitcase can go one of two ways; one, you're doing it last minute and literal throwing anything and everything in in your stressed out zone, or two, you're doing it at least a week before you leave and your organised process is upping your excitement levels. Of course, I've experienced much of both over my years of travelling. I know which one I'd prefer.

So, today I'm sharing with you the best tips ever to help you pack like a pro, letting you have the best holiday.

1. Check the weather. Sounds obvious, right? You'd be surprised by how many times I've actually just assumed what the weather would be like, only to arrive to warm sunshine with nothing but trousers and coats. Oops. Now days, I always do a cheeky Google search a week before departing, and this becomes the basis of what I actually pack in my suitcase.

2. Make a list. I cannot tell you how many times I've packed my suitcase and referred back to my list only to find that I've missed something really important (chargers, anyone?). I have a list template on my computer that is categorised into clothes, shoes, accessories, tech, beauty, medical and miscellaneous, which I add to depending on our destination.

3. Plan your outfits. This is easily the most helpful thing ever when it comes to packing. It's simple yet super effective; not only will it save you a tonne of room (and weight!), but it's also another thing you won't have to think about it when you're on your holiday.

First, I put together a capsule wardrobe, usually with a colour theme. Then, I style as many outfits as I think I'll need for the trip, from head to toe, day to night, taking photos of each as a reference for later. Finally, I choose my favourites, which I pack into my suitcase. Of course, I add a few basics to the mix as well just incase (you know, t-shirts, denim, etc). My number one rule? If you're umm-ing and ahh-ing about something, don't bring it.
