A Summer Day Trip to Paradise
Exploring Australia's South West in my go-to Havaianas.
There are days when you just want to jump in your car and drive. And that is exactly what we did on this warm summer morning. By 4:00AM, Brad and I were on the road to our ultimate Western Australian destination just a few hours south of Perth, the stunning Margaret River region.
Dressed in our favourite summertime threads (both in our go-to Havaianas), we beach hopped down the coastline from Bunker Bay to Prevelly in hope of decent surf for Brad. Luckily for him, we struck gold in picturesque Yallingup, where I happily enjoyed my morning coffee with a dose of serenity while he had a paddle. Now this is what I call a very successful morning! Who's with me?
When the winds changed, and the 'setters' became far and few, we grabbed lunch (and more coffee!), slid off our classic Havis and plonked ourselves on one of the many white sandy beaches along Cape Naturaliste.
Not yet ready to make the journey home, we decided to explore some of our all-time favourite destinations along the majestic coastline, including a quick hop and skip to Sugarloaf Rock. Can I just take a moment to praise Havaianas for making the comfiest footwear ever? 🙌🏼 They're seriously the best thing ever on a long day of exploring! I'll admit though, my white pair definitely needed a serious wipe down after trudging around in the orange dirt all day. 🙈
Reluctantly, we found ourselves on the highway north back to Perth, with the sun setting magnificently in the west and a couple of salted caramel-filled donuts (for sustenance, of course).
When we finally arrived home to the greeting of our fur baby, we couldn't help but think, "It really was the perfect summer day escape".
I'm wearing: Havaianas thongs in Top White, Glassons off-the-shoulder top, Sabo Skirt wrap skirt, ASOS cap, Quay sunglasses and Cluse watch.
