A Burst of Yellow

As you might just be able to tell from my current ‘Gram feed, I’m all about a pop of yellow right now, whether it be a subtle hint of sunshine or a bold block of the bright hue. The latter can definitely be used to describe this outfit, which combines my love for oversized shirts (they’ve been a feature here since I started blogging all those many years ago) and a burst of colour in an otherwise neutral assemble.

Can we talk about those turned up cuffs in all of their dramatic goodness? See, this is why I have a zillion* shirts hanging in my wardrobe. It’s these small (or in this case, big) details that have me weak at the knees and wanting more, more, more. I can see myself wearing the Lovers + Friends shirt in the summertime too, perhaps unbuttoned with a bikini top peeking through, a pair of white denim shorts—you know, the ones that are wider at the leg—and designer slides. Pick me up and take me to Italy, she writes from lockdown.
