Making Time for Date Night
Our weeks seem to be getting busier and busier in the lead up to the festive season (how are we already at the end of November, seriously?), but I’ve really been making an effort to enjoy some time off, especially before it gets impossible to do so in December.
I’ve actually been working out almost every day, which definitely helps with my energy levels and productivity. It just feels so good moving so much, especially since I spend so much time sitting at my desk in front of a computer during my day-to-day. When to-do lists seem to be overflowing, I feel like I’ve proven to myself that I can still do a workout, even if it’s for ten minutes (goodness knows that’s enough to work up a sweat).
The most important thing to make time for to me is quality time with Brad, which is why we schedule regular date nights together, sans work or phones or distractions; just me and him, and a three-courses of deliciousness, preferably. This was my look for our date night last week. I went for a slightly darker nude lip (this one is called Naked by Urban Decay), a long sleeve mini dress, and lots of gold and blush accessories, including my new Fossil Gen5 watch. We had such a lovely night and ended up enjoying a glass of wine over a lengthy game of Scrabble afterwards, ‘cause we’re cool like that.
Ah, if only tonight was date night! Instead I’ll be getting comfy on the couch, watching Grey’s Anatomy re-runs and editing a new IGTV, which is going live tomorrow (I’m really excited for this one). Stay tuned.
