It's My Birthday!
I sit here typing, with my belly full of delicious ramen (and a few Tim Tam’s, I’m not going to lie), sitting outside surrounded by springs blooms in our pretty little garden and generally just taking in all the good stuff. You see, it’s my birthday, so I guess it is pretty normal to appreciate all the beautiful things I’m blessed with and the experiences I’ve had over the past 29-years.
Before I get too sentimental (my hay fever can’t take it), I have had such a lovely birthday so far. Brad and Indi the Fur(st) surprised me with champagne this morning that I’ll definitely be sipping on tonight in celebration of another fantastic year. We don’t usually do presents, so it was such a kind gestures to spoilt a woman with sparkles and chocolate! Then I went out for lunch with my parents where I consumed by weight in said ramen, edamame and gyoza. And now I’m at home enjoying this perfectly sunny 25°C day.
I really like quiet birthday’s like this one, and not just so I can give myself a day off work. Well, also because of that, obviously. Goodness knows, when I wake up tomorrow it’ll be full bore ahead as the holiday season and end of year madness quickly approaches.
