BOUTIQUES VS THE WEB

I've recently realised that I no longer enjoy the act of shopping, unless it's at the tip of my finger tips. In the past I gravitated towards shopping in boutiques for the mere convenience of being able to try on an item. However, it seems the convenience of online shopping has well and truly won me over. After a myriad of mediocre customer service experiences (sales assistants and managers failing to acknowledge me - perhaps I look too young to have a dispensable income?), I've decided that shopping online will be my predominant method of acquiring fashion goods.

Unfortunately the world of online shopping also has its downfalls. Apart from sizing issues (I'm pretty lucky in that I know the styles that suit me and roughly my size range), I find that delivery is the most frustrating part, which is unfortunately (at this stage) out of the Web retailers hands. As I'm home almost every day, you can imagine my dismay when I find parcels left outside my front door without a knock, when online it says I have signed for the article.

I suppose it will always be a 'you win some, you lose some' situation. And so, despite its negatives, there is nothing like the joy of a parcel arriving at your door, prepaid and ready to enjoy.

And now I'm off to the post office to pick up am 'undelivered' parcel. Hmph.

What do you prefer, online shopping or boutique shopping?
