STATE OF FASHION

Whoever says Perth has a warm winter is delusional. While I agree that the skies are blue and the sun is shining for the most part, it does get pretty damn chilly. Don't get me wrong, Perth has nothing on the harsh white winters of the north (Canada, I'm looking at you) - there is naught more utterly freezing, and should I say painful, than the -30 degree Celsius we experience one fine windy day in Quebec City (and that wasn't even including the chill factor, brrrr).

A Perth winter certainly calls on one to stoke up the wood fire, though one can leave the thermals stored away. On a cold morning I've been known to wear a few heavy layers, but then again I probably feel the cold more than many. However, the outfit above thoroughly sums up what I'll be wearing this winter - plenty of leather, stripes and light layers. Headwear optional, though highly recommended.

Australia experiences a range of diverse winters, from snow in the south (my personal favourite) to tropical in the north. Whether you're from Tasmania to Darwin, ASOS is asking all Aussies to share their winter look and vote for their favourite. The State of Fashion competition is open to everyone, so make sure to get involved for your chance to win a $1000 ASOS wardrobe!
