THE PERFECT PAIR OF DENIM SHORTS
Introducing the best almost-white denim shorts ever. Over the last few years, I've found it nearly impossible to find denim shorts, and not for lack of trying. I could never understand the need to parade around in teeny-tiny, insy-winsy shorts that leave absolute nothing to the imagination. Trust me, my butt cheeks are not public friendly. Ever.
Needless to say, I avoided denim cut-offs last summer, but I have a feeling they're going to resurge this season in a massive way (minus gluteus maximus). That's right ladies of taste, I have found the perfect pair of denim shorts, courtesy of one of my favourite Aussie labels, Lola vs Harper. After receiving them in the mail and rushing to try them on, I realised they could not be any more perfect. A pair of almost-white denim shorts were absolutely on my wish list (because everything should be white-on-white-on-white-on-white), though I didn't expect to find them so quickly and effortlessly. While I'm usually an Australian size 6 below the waist, I decided to climb to an 8 in these denim shorts for a looser, comfier fit (a little trick I use for almost everything I wear). And hoorah! Best. Decision. Ever.
It seems the universe agrees that these Lola vs Harper shorts are made to be worn, since the day I fell in-love the clouds have parted and our notoriously warm and sunny weather has finally greeted us. Needless to say, I have not stopped wearing them. Heck, I'm wearing them as I sit and type this (no kidding!).
And now I have to scoot off, as (like usual) I have a super productive day ahead. I'm going to get a couple of new tyres for my little broom-broom (the same car I've had since I was 17, still going strong) and go for a beach run with Brad. And don't forget lovely Perth people about the Flyrite Friday Night Market, where I'll be selling a huge chunk of my wardrobe including labels such as Sass & Bide, DKNY, Dolce & Gabbana, Guess, Mink Pink, Sportsgirl, Forever New and a so much more (along with some of the coolest local bloggers!).
