COLOUR ON WHITE

Look at me, wearing actual colour! Who would've thought I'd ever step away from my predominantly monochrome styling? August Street have sucked me into this one, with such an eclectic print, of which I'd usually shy away from but for the white base that creates the perfect balance. It's all in the details with the sheer sleeves and geometric hem, making it one of my favourite summer dresses. I absolutely can not wait to show you a few more pieces from the August Street High Summer Collection, as once again they've produced edgy on-trend pieces with a super cool palette.

I wore this look a couple of weeks ago to brunch at Gordon St. Garage with the ladies. I'd usually shy away from wearing something so bright and bold to a casual Sunday breakfast, but one thing blogging has taught me is to wear what I want, not what people expect. This week I am celebrating the two-year anniversary of Lion in the Wild, so I think it is only fair to talk about some of the amazing things the blog has given me, including the confidence to wear whatever I want, even if I'll stand out amongst the crowd (oh the horror!).
