FEMININE VS. EDGY STYLE

Describing my style is one of the most difficult things ever, especially in three words or less. I'd always thought my style was casual, edgy, monochromatic with a hint of tomboy, but I've come to realise that my perception of my own aesthetic was missing one thing - femininity. Previously to me, possessing a feminine style could only mean that I was super girly and super cutesy, two things I've avidly avoided since, well, ever (much to my mum's dismay). But when Steve Madden labelled my style as "edgy tomboy-meets-chic minimalist", I realised that they'd hit the nail on the head and that I had grown to become the very definition of feminine. My 'thing' had become offsetting the femininity with edgy pieces and this outfit is the perfect representation of this.

I wore this look to the Cenote Swimwear Launch in Scarborough and I'm admittedly chuffed with the results. I can't even begin to relate how absolutely freakin' fantabulous this Laser Cut dress is by Shilla, especially when its femininity is counteracted by the classic leather tie-waist and chunky Topshop boots. And I couldn't possibly forget to mention my complete love for Najo for these amazing sterling silver pieces, which have been super glued to my hand since I received them. We all know I have a weakness for quality silver jewellery.
