HAPPY BIRTHDAY LION IN THE WILD!

Exactly two years ago on this very day I published the first post ever on Lion in the Wild. A few of you have asked how and why I began blogging. The truth is, after completing my design degree at university and attaining my first full time job, I was just plain bored on the couple of days I had off each week. Throughout my entire life I'd always had assignments, study or personal projects to fill up my spare time, and without them I didn't know what to do with myself.

I had been reading fashion blogs since the beginning of time (or at least circa 2007), so it was only just that this was to be my creative outlet. Blogging is the perfect combination of everything I'm truly passionate about - fashion, writing, photography and graphic design - so it is no surprise really that over the past two years Lion in the Wild has become a huge part of my personal and professional life.

Advice? The best way to start is to start. If you're really interested in beginning your own blog, I'd highly recommend heading over to IFB, which hosts a myriad of excellent articles (it's my number one go-to if I have any queries regarding the blogging world).

I have to say how incredibly blown away I am by the fabulous bunch of people I've encountered in the fashion industry. I've never in my entire life met a more genuine, lovely and down-to-earth group (not to mention super attractive), a huge leap away from the stereotypical 'fashun' attitude. This one goes out to all the fabulous brands/labels, PR's and fellow bloggers I've had the absolute pleasure to liaise with over the past two years.

Special mentions go out to every one who I've managed to convince to take photographs as well, but especially my wonderful partner Bradley, the resident photographer. I can't even begin to tell you how much I appreciate the many many many hours he puts into Lion in the Wild, not to mention his unwavering support to push the blog to the next level. You are my superhero, Bradley Jarman!

This goes without saying, but I'm extremely excited for another big year with you, my beautiful readers.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading Lion in the Wild. Your support truly means the absolute world to me!
