LION IN THE WILD GOES TO SINGAPORE

I am writing to you from our top floor hotel room, overlooking this vibrant city skyline and palm trees (yes, there are palm trees in the sky, but more on that later). I've always wanted to spend time exploring vibrant Singapore, but now that I am here I'm afraid I don't want to leave.

On the first day we arrived in Singapore, we allowed ourselves a quiet afternoon to explore the green oasis that is our hotel, ParkRoyal on Pickering. Yesterday, our second day, Brad and I set off for Orchard Rd, deciding to walk there instead of taking a taxi or train, and we're both so glad we did. It seems that no matter where you are, there are things to see whether it's intriguing architecture or lush gardens. I bought a few bits and pieces, though I didn't get too carried away (I know, shock horror!).

And now I'm off to get ready for champagne breakfast at the Orchard Club Lounge.
