WHAT'S IN MY BEAUTY TRAVEL BAG?
Let's be honest, spending a chunk of time on your beauty routine is not ideal when you're travelling, but it's probably the one time our body needs attention the most. I've put together a list of my must-have beauty product essentials, all of which will be saving my skin and hair during my upcoming adventures abroad.
1. Dermalogica Skin Kit: If this kit doesn't answer your travel prayers, well, I don't know what will. The Dermalogica Skin Kit comes complete with a Special Cleansing Gel, Multi-Active Toner, Skin Smoothing Cream, Gentle Cream Exfoliant and Intensive Eye Repair, as well as PreCleanse and Skin Hydrating Masque samples. My skin condition is fairly normal, but since I'll be spending a lot of time flying and in the snow, both of which can be very drying on your skin, I chose the Dry/Normal Skin Kit (be sure to check out their whole range of kits) And the best thing? Each product comes in convenient travel-sized bottles and tubes, which means it won't take up important suitcase space (say, for your crazy high stilettos that you might wear).
2. Kosmea Facial Cleansing Wipes: I use these wipes everyday without fail, leaving my skin feel soft and refreshed.
3. Kosmea Moisturising Lotion SPF 30: Anything SPF+ is my number one essential not only when I'm travelling, but also day-to-day (my skin will thank me in 30 years). I allow Kosmea's Moisturising Lotion to sink into my skin before applying make-up. Brad and I will be spending time snowboarding whilst in Japan, so this is an absolute must before I put on my googles for a day of riding.
4. Kosmea Limited Edition Rose Hip Oil: Post-flight skin rejuvenation in a bottle. And yes, I have described Kosmea's Rose Hip Oil as the 'bomb-diggity' previously. I would highly recommend missing your flight if you've somehow forgotten to pack it (well, maybe not, but you get the point).
5. Toni&Guy Hair Meet Wardrobe Casual Sculpting Powder: Long hair equals high maintenance, and the last thing I want to do on holiday is spend hours making my mane (because I'm a lion) look respectable. The Hair Meet Wardrobe Sculpting Powder will give any head of hair that extra 'oomph' (volume) we all desire, in a matter of seconds.
6. Toni& Guy Dry Shampoo: I've also packed a couple of cans of Dry Shampoo, because nobody likes helmet hair (safety first when shredding/snowboarding).
7. Maybelline Baby Lips: My lips are prone to dryness all all times, let alone in flight or in the snow, so I always pack a couple of lip balms, one for my handbag and the other in my cosmetics bag or my snowboard jacket.
8. Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam (Dark): Best tan ever. I recently switched from St. Tropez, which I have been using forever, to Bond Sands (thanks for the tip Ali!), which just happens to be one third of the price and just as good, if not better. Honestly, I hate travelling with fake tan because it pretty much always bursts in my bag, despite taping the lid. I applied to once while we were in Singapore, but won't carry it around with me in freezing Japan. Time to embrace to white.
I'd love to know what product/s you couldn't leave behind when travelling?!
PS. Almost 20 hours in transit, Brad and I finally arrived in Hirafu, Niseko yesterday. I took some snaps today after snowboarding, so I can't wait to show you this snow covered town (literally, there is metres of the white stuff everywhere!).
