#FIRSTWORLDPROBLEMS
I'll never learn that ice-cream and 39-degree days do not mix, unless you're in the comfort of a super efficient air-con. It always seem like a good idea at the time, especially when the heat hits you like a wave tsunami, but don't let the temptation fool you. Brad and I took these photos before ice-cream began radically dripping down my fingers, making it near impossible to eat the actual ice-cream and creating one hell of a sticky mess. Need I mention how impossible it was to take an Insta-worthy photo? #firstworldproblems
Luckily, I somehow managed to not get a drop of ice-cream on my Three of Something dress, which I've worn many a time since receiving it. It somewhat reminds me of a navy dress I had when I was a teenager that I used to wear non-stop for years until the colour had faded so badly that it was time to sadly let it go (much to my mother's joy). It was such a good casual basic, so you can imagine my delight when this dress found it's way to my door.
To add some shape, I styled it with one of my favourite vintage waist belts. Since I am without a doubt on the busty side of life, this kind of shape can make me look a whole lot bigger than my petite frame. While I've mastered the art of concealing my bust, I've also become an expert in showing my shape (at least when I want to). Belts, long necklaces, layered crop tops and chain harnesses are an absolute praise for women, whether you want to reveal, create or emphasise a feminine shape.
After months on end of perfect blue skies, Autumn is finally showing it's colours this week in Perth. With incredible thunderstorms, a sprinkling of rain and dark gloomy skies, I think it's almost time for Lion in the Wild to head off on another adventure, of the tropical variety.
