Sentosa Island Travel Diary

So it turns out, I'm pretty good at playing the tourist. Dungarees, a wide-brimmed hat and a DSLR slung around the neck; check, check, check. Surely they're the three essentials when analysing whether somebody is a tourist, right? A combination like that has cheesiness written all over it, though I attempted to replace the cheesiness with cool(ness). Following?

As it turns out, this was the first time I'd ever actually played the tourist with such enthusiasm. How could you not on Sentosa Island? Equipped with an oversized impossible-to-fold-back-into-convenient-brochure-size map, Brad and I explored the playground that is Sentosa. Although we didn't have enough time to venture into Universal Studios, I was happy to sit back and relax with a mojito in hand while watching Brad master flowboarding at the Wave House.

And while I will continue to conceal my touristy intentions at future destinations, I did in fact enjoy playing the part of the not-so-local sightseer. After all, it's not so bad seeing the world as a tourist as opposed to a traveller every once in a while. Lost me? Yep.
